I would like to welcome you to the 11th BioBusiness Asia Conference at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan from July 24 to 25, 2012. The Conference is held in conjunction with the 2011 Bio Taiwan Expo (July 26 to 29). This is a great opportunity for you to network with the biotechnology businesses in Taiwan and explore collaborative opportunities with Asian Biotech companies.

The theme of this year's Conference is "Emerging Market of Asia: Investing for the Future."  The expansion of global investment activity, along with strong interests in Asia-Pacific, is creating an extremely bright future for venture capital in this part of the world.  The venture capital industry is evolving to a global business model where the pursuit of opportunities will not be restricted by geographic barriers.  This business model will be complex, extremely competitive, and will require venture capital firms to develop global networks.  With VCs operating collaboratively on an increasingly global basis, they will continue to seek out quality entrepreneurs and new technologies in all corners of the globe.  This is truly the new world order.  This conference will feature keynote speeches on topics of emerging biotech global trends, business models and the strategies to leverage global resources. The conference also hosts an Investor and Business Partnering Session to facilitate one-on-one networking among participants.
